Since we were talking about it yesterday..

Run down little place. Guy nearby saw me taking pictures and asked if I was from Paterson and started talking about how they left it out of the National Park designation and that means they can't get it renovated without 20 million.

Maybe thats it. I know he never played in Hinchcliffe Stadium in Paterson.

That's got some beauty still shining through. Staggering, in it's way.

The Dodgers also played a handful of "home" games in New Jersey for a time during their Brooklyn years but I think that might have been a different stadium. I believe it was in Newark.

Re: Hinchliffe Stadium

thanks, I'm wishing I'd ventured in further than the first ramp. Although who knows what or who is hanging out in the stands or under them. (And technically there are no trespassing signs somewhere, hopelessly faded)

New Jersey, where eight runs in two-plus innings gets a stadium named after you.

Seriously, I thought Mr. 36.00 ERA had a stadium named after him before I clicked in here.

I don't think the UMDB has his picture. There you go.
