KTE: MFY: LOL: OMG

For all of the thrill of division rivalries, and longstanding hatred of those ersatz NL East castoffs in Pittsburgh and at Wrigley, you don't have to have Ron Darling's Ivy League education to know who the enemy is. I mean, the real enemy.

My favorite line was the "Mr. Ed" reference in the A. Rodriguez information. Great job Fman99.

I have to say, there's a lot of ka-ching in publishing a fake Yankee press guide.

Mets – Willets Point Jun 08 2012 07:33 AM Re: KTE: MFY: LOL: OMG |
There's just a lot of disturbing imagery in fman's write-up, especially the Suzyn Waldman stuff. I need some mind-bleach.

Shit, this was glorious.

In 2005, with 'FAN and 'CBS both part of the same corporate behemoth, Howie did an inning with Sterling while Gary did an inning with Waldman. It was more distracting than enlightening. I used to enjoy Raissman, back when he used to report stuff.

So many great nuggets in the Fman's write-up but this - Waldman noise: "Squoosh" (in her panties). - was my fave.

Edgy MD Jun 08 2012 07:50 AM Re: KTE: MFY: LOL: OMG |
I've written about this before, but Kiner and Rizzuto calling a game together would have been glorious, in a sorta psychedelic way.
|
G-Fafif Jun 08 2012 08:13 AM Re: KTE: MFY: LOL: OMG |
Bonus points to Fman for even having to think about some of the more squirm-inducing imagery.

Seawolf, why masturbate to stills of Tia Carrera from the first "Wayne's World" movie when you can have had the real thing? She was Great!

I've never heard John Sterling or Michael Kay, and I don't think I've heard Suzyn Waldman's voice (other than that "goodness gracious" clip) in decades.

And I swear I thought you were making up the home run calls until I got to A-Rod. Then I thought you were making them up again when I got to Granderson. Then I laughed so hard I woke two napping people when I got to the pool picture.

jesus, that's such a succint depiction of the douchebaggery that must be necessary to be a yankees fan. it's better to be a yankees fan, because, even if we suck, we can still pretend we're great beacuse of something somebody did back in the fucking 20s. we'll always have our history, so we never have to risk our fragile emotions being run up and down a roller-coaster of a season, or a game, or a lifetime, because, well, we can always take solace in the 26 rings thing. we'll never have to face adversity, as a yankee fan, or there can never be a downside. choose yankees, and hte going is easy. and despite there not being any lows against which to compare hte highs, you can always pretend that the highs could not ever be higher when they do come, because it must be so, as they are the yankees, and the fans deserve it more than any others. it's a pretty disturbing mentality, imo. i mean, in a nutshell, isn't yankee fandom the exact same thing hte devil promises you? take the easy path. no suffering, only good times and better times. come, just put on the pinstripes and bow fealty to the interlocking n and y.

I feel like the coulda used Hairnet or Bay to split up some lefties. I fear that Boon Logan will be able to get an easy three outs in there.
