Brian Wilson turns 70 today (and, yes, it's surprising he made it).
Paul McCartney turned 70 two days ago.
I was certainly aware that they were contemporaries but I never realized the coincidence (or, as most sportscasters would say, the irony) of their births.
Even 6,000 miles apart, that's a pretty damn good week for music.
