The Schaefer Mets Player of the Month and Pitcher of the Month for June 2012 is R. A. DICKEY. This is the second time that R.A. has been the Player of the Month, and the unprecedented sixth consecutive time that he's been the Pitcher of the Month. It was a month that started with Johan Santana pitching a historic no-hitter, but from then on it was R.A. all the way. Dickey was 5-0 in June in 6 starts. He had 55 strikeouts in 48.1 innings, and his ERA was only 0.93. He finished a solid 7.62 points ahead of the runner up, a rejuvenated Ike Davis, who had 6 home runs in June, along with 24 runs batted in and a triple-slash of .264/.363/.563.
The Schaefer Mets Relief Pitcher of the Month is a first-time winner, BOBBY PARNELL. Bobby had a 2.45 ERA in June over 13 games. He saved 1 game.
The Schaefer Mets Bench Player of the Month for June is SCOTT HAIRSTON. Scott earned 7.86 points in June in games in which he was not in the starting lineup. He finished comfortably ahead of Ike Davis' 0.92 points.
