Nice. I like the bases loaded walk. But we gotta get more than one outta this. Unfortunately this game has to compete with the new Science Of Doctor Who special, so I may seem even more distracted than usual.

Is this going to be another one of those, 'we're going to regret all those missed chances' games? Hefner's been sailing along but it's not healthy to depend on your 5th (and really, what, 7th, 8th?) starter and this pen to hold a lead with four Padre innings to go.

Last time a Met walked five times, it took sixteen innings: Vince Coleman, August 10, 1992, against the Pirates...whose bullpen coach was Terry Collins...who said after last night's game in San Diego that he didn't think he'd ever seen anybody walk five times in one game before.
