itunes and ipods; Reloaded - Late 2012
batmagadanleadoff Aug 13 2012 07:53 AM |
It's been about a year and a half since we last played this game. So what's new on your itunes? Other than classical and holiday music? Or Al Leiter Pitching a Two-Hitter In the Wild Card Clincher? Here's 10 consecutive songs from somewhere in my A's. Pick a song. Anchor off of it. And gimme 10 more.

I'll play. I've added some stuff since last time, but I don't have any of the ones you listed.

I'm guessing, based on the alphabetic distribution of your lists, that you've got over 15,000 songs on your cheater's iPod.

So how does Adalucia follow And Your Bird Can Sing? You know, iTunes alphabetizes.

How soon we forget... Actually, I think I've converted my Eno to mp3, though I've got a box o'vinyl that includes seven Moody Blues albums that I haven't touched since 1981 and probably some Yes and King Crimson, too.

I suppose in retrospect... off "The Ascent of Stan": "Ashamed" (Hot Leg) - Justin Hawkins, after the Darkness kicked him out, released a solo album. It's largely terrible. "Ashes To Ashes" (Faith No More) - off their last record, "Album of the Year," which wasn't entirely terrible. "Asshole" (Denis Leary) - In college, we knew this whole record, forward and backward. Listened to it a million times. It's the "Raw" of our generation. "At Or With Me" (Jack Johnson) "Atheists Don't Have No Songs" (Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers) - Sang this with three other guys at our UU church's pledge drive dinner this fall. Enormous fun. "Atlanta" (Butch Walker) - four versions, natch. "Atlantic City" (Bruce Springsteen) - and a cover by the Hold Steady "Atomic Dog" (George Clinton) "Attitude Adjustment" (Aerosmith) "Auld Lang Syne" (Barenaked Ladies) - studio and a live version. LOVE this live. "Authority Song" (John Mellencamp) Mellencamp's a bonus 11th song because the BNL tune is on my computer, but not synced to my iPod until holiday time.

It's apparently Devil's Answer as the name of the song. I just listened to it for the first time and googled the lyrics. It's from a rock compilation torrent I downloaded on a whim of "I need more rock music. I have no idea what music is. gimme the classics or something!" I don't know why they don't have the titles. Also on that album: Uriah Heap Canned Heat Emerson Lake and Palmer Gary Moore Golden Earring Hawkwind Joe Walsh Lynard Skynard Nazareth Python Lee Jackson featuring Rod Stewart Status Quo Wishbone Ash Black Sabbath Deep Purple Jimi Hendrix
