Well, so much for the rumors of Josh Johnson not being on his game. Our [u:3horb9l6]two[/u:3horb9l6] hits thru seven innings indicate otherwise.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand they start the runner, which puts the second baseman right at the bag to turn two on Turner.

Torres gets a poor read on a bloop by Lee allowing Reyes to score, making it 3-1 Miami.

Howie and Josh pointing out that Hairston against a right handed pitcher is a lot better option than Torres here.

Jeezus, a lot of crazy shit this inning, Ike bunting, Wright's baserunning, Torres taking ball 3 at 2-2; that hilarious play by the CFer.

I suspect that the bunt play was never really on. I think Ike, either on his own or via orders, was merely taking a pitch and went into the bunt stance so as to plant the idea in Ozzie's head and get the infielders moving around. Problem was that he's so unfamiliar with bunting that he didn't pull the bat back in time. If it was a planned play then I agree it was stupid.

Speaking of stupid and Ozzie's head, Josh Johnson threw 105 pitches, hardly any of which were hit hard, and got pulled for a pitcher who is not nearly as good. I'll take it.

wonder what was going through Torres' head when he was waved home. He saw the grounder headed for Ruggiano as he probably has a thousand times in that situation so I wonder what crazy scenario he was thinking happened behind him.
