And while nobody HAS to be the dbag in a neighbor dispute, if I had to pick a bad guy, Olie would be it.

He should just install a crow's nest on the roof of his house. Whenever he wants to look at Seattle, he can climb up there. It's amazing that that one tree can obscure the entire Seattle skyline.

But according to the article, this township apparently has a law about respecting each other's views (or, in Olerud's case, potential views that his home has never actually enjoyed) that allows him to press his case. Um, you figure out what the view would be, and THEN you build the house. If the view is blocked, you build somewhere else. What if the guy's house blocked his view? Would he have the right to tear it down? But yeah, nice to have these kind of problems.
