Swimming pool thread

I hate it when animals drown in our pool. We have a scamper ramp but when you are little, your little heart gives out before you can get to it sometimes. Today I buried yet another darling little chipmunk. I have a little graveyard and everytime I bury one, I plant a tree or flower plant beside them but I still feel bad :( I buried one a few weeks ago that was still warm and limp. I cried for an hour that I just missed him.

Thank you Swannie. I love Calvin and Hobbes, and I remember that story very well. I guess what always makes me saddest is that something put in for us people to enjoy is what takes their little lives away :(

Thanks, metfairy. We swore Bill Watterson spied on our son when he was little; when he got older it seemed Jeremy of "Zits" was modeled after him. Calvin gave us many many laughs when our son was little.

What kind of stupid chipmunks do you have in PA? The only dead things I've found in our pool are frogs and toads in the filters.

I was going to try and make a Mariano Rivera joke, but then thought it might not be appropriate. Sorry about the chipmunks, Cooby. I like seeming them scamper around our backyard.
