Who do you think will win the World Series and in how many games?

I believe San Francisco will win in 6 games. And since Marco Scuttaro won the NLCS MVP, why not a sweep for ex-Mets? I'm predicting Angel Pagan will be the (unlikely) World Series MVP.

I always pull for the National League, but I would not be crushed to see the Tigers win this. Sweeping the MFYs was glorious, and the folks here need some love. It's been a tough decade.

Re: Make Your World Series Prediction

Giants in 6...

- Teams that have won 7-game LCS's have beaten up on teams with long layoffs lately.
- Still have my doubts about the Tiger pen, and I think we will see them a bunch, especially in the Sanchez and Scherzer starts.
- Delmon Young...in the outfield.
- Home teams are 22-4 in World Series games 6 and 7 since 1979, the last time a road team won a World Series game 7.

Re: Make Your World Series Prediction

I thought the question was who do you think will win, not who do you want to win.

Tigers in 5. Giants have nobody comparable to Verlander in their rotation and are actually going to start Barry Zito against him both times (really). Tiger rotation is very deep and well-rested; I don't see them needing much bullpen (think the White Sox in 2005).

Also, on more of a "hunch" basis, I see Valverde returning to effectiveness when he does pitch.
