You read it here first (sort of). Now read the book --- or part one of the book.

Official launch of my new Mets book today.
FYI, book signing/schmoozing event set for Foley's on 33rd (between 5th and 6th) on Sat. 12/15, 1-4 PM. H/T themetfairy for applying her organizing ethos to the occasion and even sneaking my birthday, which comes 16 days later, onto the program.

Greg was a guest on the Dino Costa Show last night on Sirius XM's "Mad Dog Radio." If you have Sirius XM and pay for online listening, you can listen to the show via the "on demand" feature and advance to about the 1:50 mark. It's a terrific interview.

Q&A with Gelf Magazine here; includes shout-out to site close to all of our hearts/minds (as does the book itself).

Every now and then I like to replay the 1973 Belmont video and I still get goosebumps from the "Secretariat is moving like a tremendous machine!" call. Nice article..

More such talk, handsomely illustrated, this time with Alex Belth of Bronx Banter, the only man who could use "pernt" for point unironically and have it come off as literary.

Mets-related, so here, too:

Which certainly beats giving a talk at the Benigno Baseball Clubhouse. They may root for the Mets at that place, but mostly they just sit around saying; "Is it football season yet?"

Quick bump if you're in the neighborhood of E. 11th St. between Broadway and University (Fifth). Mets talk, Mets game, a complimentary adult beverage even. Details here.
