Got bitten by a Redback (Aussie cousin of Black Widow), had bad reaction to anti-venom = 2x3 day stints in hospital. Bad reaction to anti-venom was probably result of blue-bottle stings earlier that week………no superpowers have emerged yet, but if they do I’m open to suggestions for my super-villain name

To get poisoned by a a bluie and a redback in the same week is no fair no matter where you live.

Ouch. Glad you're on the mend. I didn't know this thread existed, but I've been on the DL since our faculty/staff halftime basketball game two weeks ago. I whacked out my right shoulder and my ring finger on my left hand, likely when I tripped and fell on defense. The shoulder feels more or less better, but I'm pretty sure I've got something wrong with my finger, because I can't get my wedding ring back over my knuckle. (Oh, and it still hurts to move it.)
