How's this for news? Movie rights have been optioned for my little book, "Opus 40:The First 20 Years."

That's neat! I never know what that means, though... "optioned." I'm assuming there's still a very long road ahead.

A very very long road ahead. It means that they've paid me a less than princely, but still welcome sum for the exclusive rights, over a period of time, to try and get a movie made.
