Thoughts on the Grady Sizemore idea?

Low-risk/high reward if we sign him up cheap? We lock him up now and then audition him in the second half to see if he is back to his former self after two microfracture surgeries on two knees?

that's presumably the upside. I'd only give him the minor league deal though.

Great idea but I read that he's not available until mid-season. If the Wilpons truly have very limited funds to spend on FAs, then they can't use any of that on high-risk players. If he would take a minor-league salary with lots of incentives, then OK.

You can use them on high-risk players (especially if the risk brings them in at a discount), but not on anybody who can't help the team still be in contention at the trade deadline or even re-establish his value by then. Pass.

I couldnt find the one where he covers himself with a beer can..

I wouldnt offer Sizemore more than a minor league deal.
