Chiefs player kills girlfriend and then shoots himself this morning, supposedly at the Chiefs' facility. No word yet on why

This guy - who I had never heard of (which is no surprise) although he's from Long Island (West Babylon) - killed himself in front of the coach & GM a couple of hours apparently after killing the girlfriend. Oh yeah, and he and the girl have a 3 month old.

Apparently he suffered from short term more memory loss, I wonder why that might have been? That poor girl, her kid and family, awful. I imagine it will be a bizarre game there today, will they pay tribute to the killer?

Belcher, 25, fatally shot Perkins, 22, Saturday and then drove to a stadium parking lot where he committed suicide in front of two coaches and the team's general manager, leading many to wonder what went wrong in Belcher's promising young life. Seriously, though, it's getting to the point where it's silly to automatically describe the life of an NFL player as "promising." I get the idea that if you take a random group of 100 former NFL players, maybe 15 are enjoying something resembling a happy post-football life. Pure speculation, of course.
