I'm living in a fishbowl here. A cold fishbowl In the morning, any attentive neighbor can get a nice view of my bare buttocks. Bay evening, streetlights shine in my otherwise sleepy eyes.

Blinds. Easy way to add a splash of color to a room. Also, more adjustable than shades when you want partial lighting.

Blinds for the bedroom, we got Venentian style at Bloodbath & Beyond. In the living room we have boring old suspended white curtains from Ikea. They can be cut & ironed to appropriate length with a little work.

I've told you not to call me Honeycomb! Honestly, I have no idea what kind of blinds they are.

We recently bought some fancy-schamncy top-down bottom-up blinds. I don't really know how to work them so mrs. sharpie does the adjusting. Must admit that they look pretty nice.

We're gondoliers, here... nice light adjustment, plus easier to replace than drapes/honeycombs/other when the cat or kid get frisky, too.

Gondoliers? Please explain. (Oh, I get it. You're venetians.) The honeycomb are these babies, the cellular structure providing a double layer of the light paper to filter light and heat. I think they work well for bedrooms. ![]()

The in-laws have honeycombs, for maximum babyproofage.
