I have greatly reduced my catalog load in my mailbox, but it has taken me about two years. Every time I get an unwanted catalog I call them and ask them to take me off the catalog mailing list. Sometimes it works on the first try. All too often it takes months before certain companies figure out that I really don't want their precious catalogs. But, eventually, they get the picture.

I average about 60 "put me on" voice mails a day vs. about 30 "take me off"s. I guess that is a pretty good ratio.

We started to get a ton of catalogs (not just Woolrich) but it makes me feel like I'm helping the environment by stuffing the recycling bin with them.

I figure it helps the environment more if you don't kill the trees in the first place.

Catalogs are produced from recycled stuff, not trees. It's still good to do it.
