Nero Wolfe

Just reading an old Nero Wolfe, published in 1968, events of the story take place in 1967. In it, Archie and Miss Rowan go to a Mets game, and afterwards discuss whether the Mets can build a team around Seaver and Harrelson and Tommy Davis. Later in the novel, in discussing things they haven't yet achieved in solving their case, Archie points out that they haven't gotten to the moon yet either. Two years later, it would all happen, except for Tommy Davis. This was the original Archie, not our Archie, who is...who, now? I still can't keep track.
