My friend and I were trying to come up with who the cleanest team was PED-wise. We decided, if you accept the narrative that Barry Bonds didn't start juicing until jealousy of 1998-era McGwire and Sosa pushed him over the edge --- or at least that Bonds never dabbled until getting to San Francisco, the Pirates looked remarkably clean.

I'm not shocked my archetypal 'bad team' hasn't had as many players pushing whatever advantage they could get like the rest of the league.

The Pirates don't care about winning the way Francisco Cervelli does.

Here's what I remember about Kevin Young and those Pirates - I had a Game Boy baseball game in the late '90s, and Kevin Young was by far the worst clean-up hitter in the whole game.

I've tried to convince someone that in the case of Linebacker Lawrence Taylor, it could have been considered a PED. The position he played calls for (among other things) agression and playing through/ignoring pain. Cocaine enhances to those things. Why not? We now return you to the Kevin Young thread. LAter
