Ed Charles reflects on facing Satchel Paige

http://www.examiner.com/article/ed-char ... -like-that At the end of the 1961 season, Satchel Paige was signed by the Portland Beavers of the PCL. Ed Charles was a third baseman for Vancouver. They met during the final home stand in Vancouver. Charles relays his experience when one of his teammates tried to bunt on the then 55-year-old Paige. Video of the interview is included.

Thanks. When he was in his prime, the answer to "Why would anybody bunt on Paige?" was "Because you can't get a hit off him, Meat." Later
