SPOILER ALERT! Do not read the rest of this post if you missed this game, accounts of this game, or any of the 125 Mets Classics SNY reruns of this game.

The Mets pull this one out in the last inning when, trailing by a run, Matt Franco pinch hits a walk-off single off of MFY super reliever Mariano Rivera. The Mets get the win. The Yanks get the World Series trophy.

I need real, live baseball, starring the Mets, in the worst way right now. This is a dark hour for me.

Greg Hanlon of Capital New York profiles "the anti-Michael Kay," Gary Cohen. Lots of great stuff in there, besides this:

He does read various Mets blogs, he told me, citing the “incredibly well-written” Faith and Fear in Flushing, along with Amazin’ Avenue, as two of his go-tos.

Yay!

In other news, I will be switching back to Time Warner now that they offer the NFL Network and NFL Red Zone channels, thereby allowing me to regain access to the annual 25 games per year on WPIX that Verizon FIOS FUCKFACES STILL DON'T CARRY IN SYRACUSE.

if they're home, they're on. With maybe one exception.
