I think I'm done purging my roster. I have a crapton of salary cap room, and I'm meeting with the city council next week to build me a new stadium. How does Draft Day work?

We'll have to choose a draft day (late March, if I remember correctly)...but it is live and chat enabled. Last year we had to split it up over a couple of days since we were drafting teams from scratch. It should only take a couple of hours this year since the teams are mostly assembled.

I think we did a weeknight at 9ish last time. Is that still best for everyone, or would a weekend evening work better? earlier on a weeknight? Something like Tuesday March 12th at 8pm? Some of you still need to release guys..or at least, should. Snukes is down to 12 players, but no one else has less than 19. Most will probably be drafting 10-15 players, so hopefully it doesn't take more than a couple of hours.

I'm with JCL on the time. It looks like everyone if under the cap...so I don't think any team has to cut anyone. I'm going into the draft only needing to fill 9 spots...none of them everyday guys...which is good because my budget only has $34 bucks left. Anyone know where to click in order to pay our dues?

Tuesdays are very bad for me, except for March 19th (my evening class is off). I could do Monday or Wednesday, but Thursday or Friday would be better.

pasting my email here, I think I'm missing someone's email in my list. REMINDER: Draft is Wednesday night at 8:30. I'll send out a reminder email at 8:25 if everyone is not there, and we'll wait a couple of minutes if someone's running late. I did a draft Saturday that took 2-3 hours, it seems like we have about as many roster spots left here as well. Thoughts: Glance at your roster once or twice before the draft to figure out which positions you're targeting, which may help with deciding who to nominate for auction. Pay attention to the injury wire too. (Zack Grienke is headed to the doctor) Also keep an eye for players with the same name. I know there's a scrub Jose Bautista out there, make sure you're nominating the right guy.

Too bad the chat lagged (at least for me). I am THRILLED at this year's edition of the Lunchladies. Hardly any foolish overbids, depth in the lineup, nothing wasted on pitching, $$ leftover (I went 0-for-4 in all four categories last year). I predict total domination!!!!!

well, i expected prices to go way up this season, but instead, for hte most part, tehy are way below what we were paying for players last year. i've got a bit of a logjam at third base, and am willing to find a new home for one of my hot cornermen. i kinda wish votto would have come up before miggy, as he would have better fit my team's needs, but i cannot complain about a $33 miggy. i simply couldn't let him pass, even if it means ultimately giving up either an evan longoria ($38) or a brett lawrie ($22). make your offers! i could use help at 2b, of, and i won't turn my nose up at a compelling pitching offer.

Not sure if Lunchie is aware, but it looks to me like he's got Cuddyer listed twice on his roster, counting against his cap twice and making it look like he has 40 players, but he only has 39.

FYI...like last season, the roster lineups have been reset...so everyone you have is a bench player until you denote otherwise. Make sure you check before opening day.

So....I've got a problem. I have Zack Wheeler on my team and I set him as one of my starting pitchers yesterday. This screenshot from last night shows that he was set: Last night, I noticed that he was not being included in my live updates: I thought maybe they would fix it and give me the stats this morning, but they didn't: I can see that they still have him listed in AAA (as a player for Toronto...I can only imagine that is because Las Vegas was the Toronto AAA affiliate last season). Maybe there was some snafu with him being promoted as the 26th man on the double header roster and then sent back down. But he did pitch a major league game, I did have him set as a SP and I could use the 6 scoreless innings and 7Ks. Ceetar - is there anyone you can contact (or I can contact) at the league to check on this. Part of the joy of this league is that it is a keeper league. Drafting Wheeler back in March of 2012 and waiting 15 months to start him only to not get his stats would be a bummer.

I almost forgot to start him myself because I had him in the Minors slot and he didn't get the little ^ But look at your IP totals for Starters Total and compare it to the pitchers listed. missing 6IP. I think it worked fine, but I'm gonna email them about it anyway. [url]http://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/43/playercard?id=15962 seems to be showing up there too at least.

Oh....you're right, you're right, you're right. If I add up the totals in the final screen shot above, they do include Wheeler's stats...he's just not individually listed on the breakdown. No worries then...they just presented it very confusingly. Thanks for checking...this had been worrying me all day.

what a difference a year makes! as of today, i have hte top spot in all four offensive categories, as well as pitchers' strikeouts. i don't know if this torrid pace can hold up, but, damn, it feels good.

Beware the approaching Deathship. I have been relying on my pitching all year...but my offense hit a wall at the end of May. mm's O needs to come back down earth or else I am going to have to start trying to sell off some pieces.

there's still a game tonight. muddy chickens trails the death machine by one run, and has three players going tonight, whereas the machine of death does not carry any rays or rangers. if muddy chickens scores one run, we tie for first. if he scores two runs, he wins. unless i break my stalemate at OBP with the mohawk red flyers. we're deadlocked down to four decimal places. i, too, have a few guys going tonight, and hopefully it swings in the right direction!

Yup. Doesn't appear to in my espn and yahoo leagues, but ottoneu does it right. Holy shit that was tight. Happy to have eked out a narrow win, thanks in part to a missed call on a bouncing ball into leonys martin's glove, keeping wil Myers from scoring a run. I wonder if there's a tie-breaker on ottoneu, and feel somewhat fortunate not to need to find out. That was almost an epic collapse. Me and my big damned mouth...

After he releases (or I release?) You'd head over to [url]http://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/claimteams and find the Duda Wright Things team in the Crane Pool Forum league and claim it. You're good until 3/13 financially, but would need to spend 9.99 to renew for the next season. (and you probably need a fangraphs account) As far as responsibilities go.. Friday is the arbitration deadline. You don't have to really worry about this if you don't want, but we all spent money to raise the prices of your players, you have the option to spend $25 raising the prices of any of our players, at least $1 per team. After that, you can trade players, release players, etc until March when we all have to get together for a draft to fill in the empty spots on our roster via online auction.

Then you have select each team from the drop down near the top left that should give you their roster with a drop down for each player to select $1 $2 or $3. Gotta give every team at least $1 and maximum of $3.
