Howdy..I have a question..I have an ebay sportscard store where everything can be flatbed scanned...Ashie1 wants to start selling items that need a "3D" photo.

Any advice on an affordabe digital camera that would alow us to do this?

My tech IQ is about 5 lol..Thanks

Re: Photography Hep

What do you mean by 3D?

And what do you mean by affordable? How much are you looking to invest?

I'll also say that the camera can only take you so far - it's difficult to get textured results while using the automated settings. Not that it can't be done, but if Ashie1 is really looking to take impressive shots, you or she should probably do some studying up (a basic photography course might help, or at the very least searching YouTube or other websites for tutorials).

Re: Photography Hep

lol..by 3D I'm trying to say photos with depth..normal photos..Not the very limited range of a scanner..

Budget..$100 or so..Thanks!

Re: Photography Hep

$100 is rough - there are cameras at that price, but not really great ones.

If you can go a little higher, B&H is having a really nice sale on the Nikon Coolpix P310. I have the older model of this, and I love it. It's small (not the camera that I would put in a pocket for a race, but nonetheless small) and really good in low light situations. (Note - no matter what you buy, you'll also need to buy a SD memory card). It also has manual controls, so if you do study photography you can play around with the different settings. $213 (with free shipping) is a REALLY good price for this camera, and it's a model that I would highly recommend.

BTW, PicMonkey is a nice (and free) online editing tool. It won't make a bad picture good (no editing tool can do that), but it can help you crop, rotate, and fine tune your shots to improve them.

And for a neat 3D effect, you might look into HDR software.
