Mets take the home game against the amateurs, 5-2. Wilmer Flores homers. In the away game, the Mets are tied against the newly American Leagued Houston Astros. Jeurys Familia coughs up a three-run league and it's 6-6 in the seventh.

Niuewenhuis whiffs in the ninth, the way he does. Edgin on to close out and Stros get an infield hit to Phil Evans and an error by Evans as well. First and second, no out. Houston pinch-bunting.

They tie it on a hit past... Evans. Not yet ready for prime-time, that guy. Mets intentionally walk to load the bases.
