my wife's cookbook is frustrating as hell to find what I'm looking for...would you mind putting the good ones online with a table of contents like what you have here? It would make it much more convenient...

Nice work, apologies for not participating in these...not that good at projecting beyond "he'll suck or he won't".

most people aren't that good at projecting...it's just fun to do...

In the break room today at work, I found a 2010 Baseball Prospectus Guide...it's funny to see how some of the guys that they predicted great things for, haven't done diddly yet...and then some guys that they didn't predict much for, have come through...

For example, they pretty much said that Jose Bautista of the Blue Jays was a mediocre utility guy that couldn't play defense...How did Bautista respond?
2010: 54 Homeruns; 35 doubles; 3 triples; 124 RBI; 109 runs scored; .995 OPS;
2011: 43 HRs; 24 doubles; 2 triples; 103 RBI; 105 runs scored; 1.056 OPS (132 walks because nobody wanted to throw him strikes);

They were right about his defense, but they kind of missed on the offense...

That's like slagging them for not predicting the A's division win, though; Bautista's breakout was, like, historically weird.

I know that nobody can predict everything right...and that was my point in slagging them for it...and anyhow, there are a lot of future events that I wouldn't want to be able to know the future on...It would freak me out having to have a fortune teller tell me what lies ahead...

I just thought that it was kind of funny seeing their comments on just how useless they thought that Bautista was (especially with the season that he had afterwards)...

They also pretty much tore J. P. Ricciardi to shreds for just how piss-pore drafts that he had in Toronto after supposedly being such a smart sabermetric scout in Oakland...

Re: 2013 IPP (Individual Player Prediction) table of content

What would be interesting to see (at least in my opinion); would be how does each position match up vs the NL East average at each position & vs the League average at each position...

1B; 2B; 3B; SS; C; LF; CF; RF; Starting pitching; Relief pitching; bench...which I think would show where we really need to make improvements...I think that we'll probably be no worse than "league average" at: 1B; 2B; SS; 3B and starting pitching...with the obvious weaknesses being all the OF positions, bench (because some of our "starters" or "platoon" players would be bench guys elsewhere) and the bullpen...

And... we're done! Zack Wheeler and David Wright were just added to the table of contents.

Feel free to start a thread for anyone I may have overlooked.
