You're not suppose to say Happy Easter until Easter Sunday. Also Easter Sunday is on May 5.

I never understood this, did the bunny just chill in the cave longer in some countries before being resurrected?

I suspect this refers to various Eastern Orthodox sects where the date for Easter often (but, for some reason, not always) differs from the one used by western Christian churches.

Re: Happy Easter

I thought the Eastern Easter was always a week off from the, um, "regular" Easter. But maybe I'm wrong.

Re: Happy Easter

My wife brought home a loaf of casatiello yesterday. It's an Italian Easter bread stuffed with mortadella and/or salami, and cheese. Looks like this, and tastes divine.

Is this the stuff my father and uncle always lament is not called 'lard bread' anymore?

Re: Happy Easter

I believe it is. The recipes I saw call for either lard or olive oil, and I doubt you will find many made with lard these days.

Also, that looks awesome, Ceetar. Enjoy!

I can't find a YouTube link to the complete video, but here's a link to a MySpace (!) site for the Bugs Bunny "Easter Yeggs" cartoon. A must!
