Prayers Needed

I don't mean to step on Opening day. Ashie1 is having an aortic value replacement tomorrow. I understand the math is in her favor but we are both scared. All prayers are appreciated..Thanks

Thanks folks....Catheter showed no blockage at least today, thats big...tomorrow the valve is replaced..The Mets are is nice distraction at this point..

An MRI done on the abdomen found an abnormality in the liver diagnosed as cancer. We will find out tomorrow if it is localized or regional..I dont feel well...

After two months of diagnostics it is a localized liver tumor that will be shrunk be RCHOP chemo and hopefully resected by cutting the tumor out like a stem on a mushroom.. Ball is now rolling and we are using the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philly...they have been great.... Has not been much fun for us but we believe wholly. Felt the need to share as I have been pretty mopey of late. Thanks

This might sound a little doofy, but is she feeling up to a project? A little bit of childhood-photo reorganization/sorta-scrapbooking seemed to help my mom's spirits-- and, thanks to the nature of the project, helped her prepare to start saying goodbye-- when she was going through her first course of radiation (before she got too weak, anyway).

Thanks for the prayers folks! RCHOP chemo starts Monday..Cancer 100% limited to liver..6 months chemo and then surgical resection of the remaining tumors. Bring it on....

First off I want to thank all for their prayers and support, it means alot! First two months of chemo are done and the third treatment is this week....She is rocking the scarf!! The first two post infusion CAT scans show the tumors have stopped growing..The side effects are rough but she is one tough lady. We had one ambulance run and I cannot say enough good things about the Atlantic City first responders and Atlantic Care Drs....They were able to get the oncologist from Fox Chase quickly to confirm the course of treatment. For trivia, the cost of care hs exceeded $750,000..yeesh. There is a break in her treatment soon and we are going to spend a couple of weeks with family in Parsippany.. Thanks for letting me share here...

We had a halfway home party last weekend...8 chemos with 5 completed....one infusion every 21 days... The midway CAT and PET scan have confirmed the desired reduction in the tumor and the aortic stenosis is behaving... Still have a couple of surgeries and stuff but I believe prayer and her spiritual strength are guiding the boat to recovery... It gets better...

We got a phone call from the oncologist after chemo 6.. The tumors are GONE! We finish the last two treatments and maintain with rixumtab for 2014.. Dr. said it was a miracle and I do agree! Thanks for all the prayers from all over!!!
