Amazin' Adjectives

Jason Fry, upon witnessing yesterday evening's pitching performance, openly declared Matt Harvey to be both "Seaverian" and "Goodenesque."

While congratulating Jason for daring to make a comparison I explicitly refused to make on superstitious grounds, I believe the correct adjective for likening someone to George Thomas is "Seaveriffic," though I certainly agree with the usage of "Goodenesque."

What other adjectives are appropriate for likening current and future Mets to their ancestors?

How did I not see "gentrification"? That's a bad move by me right there.

Pick one of the above and use it in a sentence, including a reference to a latter-day figure.

[list]Nieuwenhuis had played himself off the roster last year, and Cowgill won the centerfield job outright, but with Duda still on the roster, he was nonetheless needed to fill the Gasparoid role of late-inning outfield defense.[/list:u]

One of the the radio guys used the word Trachselian when Familia took the mound. I'm not sure he meant that to mean "pitching like shit."

Fans of the 2013 Mets can only hope that Marlon Byrd has one Gilkian season left in those old OF bones of his.

Theogeorgeious?

That last one, I just wanted to see how it looked in print.

We need a comprehensive list for these. Don't think I saw any George Theodorky ones.

THEODORKY!

Duda made the play but his effort looked theodorky.

I would say "Marvelike" means you are angst-ridden and have super powers.

I do.
But that's not what I meant.
Maybe Marv-like is better for what I meant. (are hyphenated adjectives allowed?)
