One (and only one due to space concerns) of these will soon adorn my walls, but I can't decide which I like better.

With either, I'd be selecting the "canvas art" option to match a Jets piece that I bought at Target (they have a nice Citi Field one there too for anyone interested, but screw Citi Field, I'm definitely going with good old Shea Stadium.)

*I would explore any addition options that anyone who is bored at work cares to search out and link to

Re: Help me choose

Ultimately I suppose this is a choice between horizontal or vertical but 2 IMO is a better look, less corporate.

Re: Help me choose

Second one. Too much sky in the first.

Love both of them, though.

That is why I am conflicted on the first one, on the one hand it is the view I was most accustomed to as I usually sat in the upper deck behind home plate... but too much sky/light was my biggest problem with it, I wish it had been taken at night.

I personally like 1, but they're both great.

If they cropped the back view right above the cloud line there it would have been better. It would also look kool if it was much bigger and your walls were the exact color of the sky. Otherwise to much real estate is sold to that sky. I do like that view better though. As nice as the side view is, that view could have been pulled back a little bit more, but thats probably just me. Also would have been nicer if the stands were all filled up, also just me (on that wallpaper I made I actually filled the seats with people where it was empty). I'd have to chose the first. I'd probably try to crop that closer myself and ruin it. Or scribble KaBOOM up there.

Re: Help me choose

2 is nice... but I'm sure you could find a nighttime Sheascape that's to your liking, couldn't you?

Re: Help me choose

I'd be a little surprised if some shutter bugging cranepoolers might not have some good photos that you could have a print made up of.

Re: Help me choose

One more call for anyone who might have a great shot. I found on google search results that is almost what i want... better lighting and a few years earlier (ie without citifield in the background) would be great

Re: Help me choose

If you're interested I think I can photoshop Citi out of that, put in the old view. All I'd need is a decent hi-rez image of the area pre-08 to work with.

Re: Help me choose

I have a lot of pictures of Shea in my files. Unfortunately a high percentage are small low rez images and I figure these will be of no use to you. This one is nice but I think it might be too small and it cuts off the scoreboard. Narrow it down to year, day or night, and I'll see what I can come up with.

Re: Help me choose

I'll see what I have. I might have something but I fear most of my pictures are also low res, didn't get the better camera until 08 or so.

Re: Help me choose

Also,...silly question but, does it matter if the stadium is empty or not?

Re: Help me choose

I think you should photoshop a 1965 parking lot and skyline beyond a 2007 stadium.

Your tempting me. So stop it ;)

Heres a quick mock up of the one 80s sky on the 90s stadium. You can see that does not cover the whole area but that can be done other ways. A whole new sky, removing the extra lights, and then matching tint, contrast, etc. Itll be a bit of work but its doable.

Think that one's a little fuzzy at full size. looks okay in preview, but the full thing is washed out and blurry unfortunately.

Re: Help me choose

but here's the better picture from three seconds later:

The only problem is I'm not sure I'd want a picture reminder of that game.

Re: Help me choose

This one was my wallpaper a while back. I put me on the scoreboard, of course. I was pretty sure Photobucket would not support the orig size. Looks like Picasa won't either. It looks like they shrunk it. I have a 3872 x 2592 copy of this.

Re: Help me choose

This went easier and faster than I thought it would. Would need a better sky though. That ones from some other project.

Re: Help me choose

I'm still being incredibly indecisive with this... anyone else with high res shots?
