Adventures in Small Sample Sizes, 2013

Anaheim Angels, with perhaps the three best offensive players in the league, are down 4-0 to the Astros right now. It's early, but if Houston hangs in there, the Angels will fall to 2-8.

Rotation (not such a bad lineup on paper, with C.J. Wilson-Jason Vargas-Jered Weaver-Joe Blanton-Tommy Hanson) just not getting it done on a nightly basis. Hamlton (.543 OPS) neither.

gleaned from last night's broadcast: The Miami Marlins have scored 17 runs, and John Buck has driven in 19 (so has Chris Davis. Prince Fielder has driven in 17)

Shin-Soo Choo has been hit by 5 pitches so far. He's on pace for 81. ouch.
