Shopping in the Valley of Ashes

MLB Trade Rumors posted this list of former major league pitchers currently on minor league deals. All have rapidly approaching out clauses, and if they are not called up could be had for a song, or perhaps a verse and a chorus. Jair Jurrjens intrigues me, but his date is furthest away among those listed.

I'd ask a Shaman to bring Wahoo McDaniel back from his grave if I thought it would help the Jets. Why not sift through the ashes to find some remaining fire for the Mets? I'd give Wang a shot. His best pitch is a sinker, so he might survive without having to rely on the outfield defense very much. Later
