Cuban is a jerk. But something like the ownership of intellectual property developed by an employee is common in business. Cuban is a businessman, so this kind of thing is natural to him. He's soliciting ideas from folks who aren't his employees, so maybe he could have used one of his PR staff to say it nicer.

And if you are a blogger, you shouldn't need a PR staff not to come off as an incredibly huge jerk.

His tone in writing sounds the same as his tone when I hear him talk....loud, arrogant and self centered.
