International Championship Cup (soccer shit)

Any of ya's gonna go to this? They've definitely assembled some big names for this thing (Real, Chelsea, Inter, AC Milan,...). For some reason I'm surprised at Indy for the midwestern city choice, and a little bummed that Miami's the championship locale, but whatever. I'm gonna try to get tix for a Dodger Stadium game. I've seen Chelsea v. LA Galaxy at Home Depot (back when Beckham first signed out here) and Inter Milan v. Chelsea at a packed Rose Bowl a year later. Both awesome sports experiences, even for friendlies. Ya gonna try to go?

Not me, these players want to go on vacation but are forced into these tournaments as they are money makers for the clubs, plus it helps raise the clubs profile in the all important US market , the games have no bite...... wow, just clicked on buy tickets for the NY game august 4th at Metlife....looks like tix are $500+.... Ireland are playing Spain at MFY stadium in a few weeks, won't go to that either.

It looks like $500 is for VIP, Mr. Big Shot. But the cheapest one (concourse 3) is still $70 and they range to $250 in concourse 1. I dug the atmosphere at the ones I've been to, and the quality is so much better than Chivas USA/Real Salt Lake or whatever, even if the players could give a shit. If I can get it for a reasonable amount, I'll dive on it like Ronaldo.

Not a bad price, but... a little rich for my kiddie-cost-drained blood vessels these days. (And a little tougher to self-justify after shelling out for last year's Chelsea-PSG friendly at the Death Star.)

Keep seeing commercials for it and thinking that I can count on one finger the number of Israeli soccer fans I know, and I know lots of Israelis. Maccabbi Tel Aviv basketball is a bigger draw in New York.
