Rip Van Winkle posting...

Earlier this week I returned to the Crane Pool after almost a year away and it still feels like home. The same cast of wonderful people are still actively posting. Sadly, it appears that the only new member with over 20 posts for the year is Mets-Willets Point. Willets a great guy and all, but he's not exactly a newbie. Oh well, this site remains a hidden gem amidst the clutter of the internet. It has been nice to catch up with the changes in the lives of members. The following achievements were revealed during a cursory reading of the site: -Edgy DC became a homeowner and apparently a doctor as he is now known as Edgy MD. -Transmonk and his wife are soon to become parents. -Duan and his wife add a new member to their family. -Fman runs a freakin' marathon. -Cooby becomes a master gardner, an empty nester, a mother in law to be with her sons engagement, and a grandmother with her daughter's little girl. Congratulations to all of you on your eventful year. If only the Mets were progressing as well as our members.

Welcome back Doc! Hope all is well with you and yours. In honor of your return I plan on making several hundred more jokes about penises.

Welcome Rockin' Doc! I'm pretty sure I've been using Mets - Willets Point for at least two years now (although I was slow to rename after the station was renamed).

I think that this place is an acquired taste for veterans of the earlier bad days of the Mets...younger guys either don't know about here, or they prefer the prospect view of NYFS; or they prefer the anarchy of Metsrefugees...and then you have some of the older guys that still like the MOFO for its inmates running the asylum approach... It's good to see another blast from the past revisit here...I personally have always been more of a "read more, post less" type of guy here (which is part of the reason why I only have about 700 posts despite being around since 2005)...I myself recently started back up here; I used to visit quite a bit, but then I kept getting "Trojan" warnings from Norton's Anti-Virus whenever I would get on this site so I stopped coming around for a while...I'm no longer getting those warnings from here...
