Weird New Diet Tips

I figure you could easily lose 100 pounds of belly fat in one month by following three of the weird new diet tips every day for 30 days. I wonder what they are.

Problem is I don't want my doctors to be outraged.

One of them has you drinking water with cayenne pepper all the time.

My stomach cringes at the thought of that.

Re: Weird New Diet Tips

A friend of mine, no two friends of mine, were drinking a maple syrup/cayenne pepper concoction a couple years ago. Even they had to admit they, ahem, stunk.

(I hate the smell of maple)

I also get an ad that shows an arm that looks like it belongs to a person about 120 years old and claims with one simple trick, this arm can look years younger. Dermatologists are boiling mad.

What is it with these medical folks being mad at major medical breakthoughs?

Do 120-year-old people want younger looking arms?

?

I've done that one. It's not bad. It's also not a diet, it's a "cleanse". Plenty of hokey stuff behind it, but I felt better after it. Particularly digestion wise. I've always had a rather tender stomach, and this helped. You can actually get pretty close to the minimum daily caloric intake with it, between the lemons and the syrup. You're really just drinking sweetened fresh lemon juice with a splash of kick (to taste really). I've thought about doing it as a meal replacement type thing for dinner, but am always too lazy (fresh squeeze lemons every night? screw you!). Honey would work too, as well as the Grade B maple syrup. There's lots of really good stuff in there.

Of course, I did it for 4 days, not a month like some crazies. The only really bad thing is the no-protein.

Especially dermatologists.

Plastic surgeons maybe. But even so, they create enough artificial need for procedures that they shouldn't care.
