Buck gets the day-game-after-night-game, and Nooey gets some fresh air, per Rubin. Last time this OF started Nooey was in left and Young in center.

Relocated to the shade of section 503 for those seeking an Fman/Fboy encounter.

Byrd continues to hit like his prime self, and run like some terribly-hobbled future version of himself.

Had no notion that this was a day game. GO METS!

LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Jun 29 2013 01:07 PM Re: IGT June 29 Mets v Nats |
Zimmerman works a leadoff walk-- his third-- in the sixth... then is erased on a 3-6-3 that ends with a tag of the returning runner at first. This game is like a Whitman's Sampler-- Satin's Sampler?-- of first-baseman-started exotic double-plays.

Gee through six. Maybe we just should skip starts against the Phils for him?

Edgy MD Jun 29 2013 01:10 PM Re: IGT June 29 Mets v Nats |
Six innings and 85 pitches. I know Gee is batting second, but let him. LET HIM!

I'm a fan of my Big Brown Bear, but how are they gong to get three innings out of this pen?

The courage of Tim Teufel on display. Down with Span!

Results-wise, Teufel has been roughly 700% more effective than last year at third, hasn't he?

I'm playing a computer game while listening. Robot Daniel Murphy hit a homer at the same time Human Daniel Murphy hit a triple.

Stammen --- you argue about where you hit a batter, you got no class.

Great day at the ballpark for Fboy and I today. We bailed on the outfield seats pretty quick as my son has been sick for the last two days and needed to be in the shade.

Very cool meeting the Ffamily.

Edgy MD Jun 29 2013 07:45 PM Re: IGT June 29 Mets v Nats |
So, the Mets have already passed both the Cubs and the Brewers this weekend, and sit two games behind the Dodgers in the most glorious game of leapfrog known to man. The Dodgers have a late game on the coast against Philadelphia. We'll get a half game closer to somebody.

In my own defense, I did make one joke about getting erections from watching overweight women do yoga, but perhaps it was tough to hear with the airplanes going overhead.
