All-Purpose TV Thread

We have lots of music threads, a whole forum for movie reviews, but as far as I can see, no general TV thread. Anyway, the next season of "How I Met Your Mother" will be the last, and this video was premiered at Comic-Con last week as a final season teaser. This is a good idea. New shows that garner more interest can be branched off if needed. The Bridge: Very good and a little off beat show. Both lead actors are very good. The woman plays the kinda nutty detective perfectly, and the Mexican cop is just very real and relaxed. Writing has been great. Has mystery, murder, mayhem, and possibly madness. I don't watch cop shows. Im hooked on this one. Third episode airs tonight on FX. But I recommend if you are interested you watch from the start.

Did we ever have a Friday Night Lights thread? I couldn't find it. I just finished the whole series on DVD... I don't think I've ever felt so.. mixed about a show before. The Coach and his wife make great characters with a great dynamic, but every show about a group of high school kids runs into the same issue... they graduate and the show goes to shit. rather than following them to college this show tries to introduce a whole new group (at a whole new school!) but i feel like the 4th and especially 5th seasons fall flat on their face with characters you just arent as interested in as you were the original kids (aside from one towards the end). there was just enough there to keep me watching, but i was always longing for the first/second season.

I loved every season of Friday Night Lights. I thought the finale was a bit weak, but whatever. Clear eyes, full hearts...
