A Pink Bunny

I actually bought this for the Christmas Story 5K in December. I might as well use it to give out that candy before it goes stale....

Re: What's your costume?

Pathmark. I feel like I note this at every holiday. Seems like Pathmark likes to get a jump on the curve. Hell, they consolidated "back to school" stuff for this!

but, switching supermarkets in a month so..

Wegmans opens in Montvale in..eventually.

I dunno, I haven't checked.

There's a Stop & Shop down one way, and I think an A&P the other I think.

I'm currently driving to Bridgewater every once in a while just for my Wegman's fix. 45-50 minutes one way. Prices are way better though, so we probably save on gas and I get a Chicken Finger Sub out of it too.

date is still TBD. the farm stand that's there now is pretty nice too though.

Well, likely just one of those things where they got a deal and have the space to sell it. Company has been struggling for years now, just this week said they would try to sell.

Sounds likely. Pathmark's been closest to home the past 5 years so it's the quickest and easiest, but they suck too. Always seems like they're dropping good products and the produce sucks. The deli counter doesn't have Boars Head.

They've got a dedicated 'seasonal' aisle, but it's non-creative, so when you get a lull you have this happen. They had plastic reusable cups and ice packs and the typical BBQ type stuff and campfire logs, but they don't restock so it empties pretty fast. They filled it up with back to school stuff, but that seems to be dwindling now in favor of the candy. Yes, we've got at least three weeks until the loosest definition of 'school starts' and it's being phased out. It seems like they only get one shipment of seasonal stuff at a time, which just seems dumb and likely means that if you buy candy in Pathmark it's probably going to be stale. (Even if they don't put it out, it's probably in the back) Although only some of the actual candy had Halloween packaging, so maybe there's still a shipment of that coming.

Spent five and a half years on and off during HS and college working at Pathmark. Ah, the olden days.

Good point. I need shorts, this is probably the best time to buy them right?

When's good BBQ buying time?

Just heard the Pathmark in Port Chester, near where I work, will be closing. Haven't heard what will replace it yet.
The A&P in Port Chester closed about a year ago. After much bidding and city council stuff, the site is being gutted and will become a Whole Foods.
