Starts the week at a new job, going to work for the governor's press office. Hopefully there won't be any big stories out of the governor's office this week. Oh, wait... . That's gonna be one busy Metsguy.

Oops, I didn't see this here. Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm the deputy press secretary for Gov. Rick Snyder. We did, in fact, spend lots of time in Detroit during my first week. I will tell you, it is never a dull moment. It was a really difficult decision to leave MLive and The Grand Rapids Press. I loved what I was doing there, and the people I was working with. But this is an outstanding opportunity for public service in my adopted state. Some wonderful, passionate people here.
