There's a Michael Jackson verdict

Yancy Street Gang

Not announced yet.

Stay tuned.

I wonder if he will wear his jammies for sentencing

YAWN!

seawolf17
Jun 13 2005 03:50 PM

Verdict: He's a wackjob.

Yancy Street Gang
Jun 13 2005 03:51 PM

Your honor, we find the defendant freaky as charged.

Willets Point
Jun 13 2005 03:51 PM

Well duh, I could have told you that 25 years ago.

Will Santa Barbara be torched if he's guilty?

MFS62
Jun 13 2005 03:56 PM

Well, if he's found not guilty, have they closed the book on the Billie Jean case?

4:30 ET for the announcement.

I'm so glad that the liberal media has kept itself focused on bringing America's attention to the Downing Street Memo and the continuing quagmire in Iraq instead of distracting us with all this sensationalist crap about the Michael Jackson trial.

Oh wait...

CNN has the four suv motorcade helicopter shot going. Reminds me of 'the
white bronco' of course. Yeah, it's been a tedious and yawn inducing thing
but the end is worth tuning in to. Nice working in of political agenda mon-
gering there, Willet.

I actually have that white bronco thing on tape because it happened during
a Knicks playoff game, I think.

Now the verdict is at 4:45pm, next thing you know it'll be set for 9pm prime time and Larry King will read the verdict.

It just occurred to me: My car radio is tuned to WFAN.

When I drive home from work today, I may start the car and hear Mike and the Mad Dog talking about Michael Jackson.

That would be an odd listening experience. I might stick with it for a little while out of morbid fascination.

I think we should all get out our Thriller cassettes and play them to show our support

MFS62
Jun 13 2005 04:34 PM

Or, Cooby, we can play our "Bad" (is that the one?) cassette and hear Michael admitting he's a "Smooth Criminal".

OE: answering cooby here ...

   - hey, who turned the critters off. That did make me laugh
out loud though. I used to like that extended video years ago. Looking back
at the history of music videos, it was definitely ground breaking.

There's no way Michael's gonna beat it.

Ooops, who said that.

Two quick thoughts: yes, the OJ thing did happen during a Knicks playoff game... we were at someone's house (someone who will remain nameless, largely because he's the guy I referenced in the ACPFHSEAGUS thread, the bastard) watching the game.

Second, I can't stand when M&MD talk about anything pop culture related, because they have no idea what they're talking about, and they wind up sounding like morons. (Even moreso than they do when talking about anything other than the 1960's MFYs.)

CNN (and most every source out there, I imagine) probably has two different stories ready to got -- the Guilty one and the Not Guilty one. Here's hoping at least one nervous producer hits the wrong upload button.

I have no comment.

Coming after the photo in my post, Cooby, your post is priceless.

]I think we should all get out our Thriller cassettes and play them to show our support

This presumes two things:
1) That I have a 'Thriller' cassette
2) That there's anyone or anything involved here that deserves my support

I'm contributing a big fat 'NO' to each.

cooby
Jun 13 2005 04:49 PM

lol, yeah...

If my Thriller cassette is where I think it is, it is not three feet away from me in a closet.

But no I'm not getting it out.

(Though it makes for great fun to play it and watch your cat. But my cat has had a tough enough week with this heatwave...)

i totally found myself hoping for a "jack ruby" moment as mj was walking into the courthouse.

am i alone in wishing for this, simply to put an end to our collective misery once and for all? and so that we dont have to give two shits as to the outcome of this seemingly deeply flawed show-trial?

in other words - i trust a lone gunman more than a california jury.

Duh, LF upgraded his MJ collection to CD in the early nineties and has since programmed the catalog into his iPod.

The other night (Thursday I think) Conan had Triumph at the the MIchael Jackson trial - Hysterical.

It rivaled his Star Wars piece from a year or so ago.

Best part:

While interviewing a Michael Jackson impersonator:

Triumph: Can you moonwalk for us?

MJI: (Moonwalks)

Triumph: Wow, can you sing for us like Michael?

MJI: (Belts out a line from Billie Jean or some other song)

Triumph: Wow, great. Now do Michael masturbating to 'Home Alone'.

No, I take that back.

They ARE as weird as he is.

The prosecution.

Listen, if the charge is being disturbed and disturbing, you've got my vote.

I haven't followed a second of this trial but I don;t know how anyone can even pretend to know what happened here as opposed to say, the OJ trial.

Let's just hope the jury got this one right.

I followed it to the extent that I see about a combined 25 minutes of interupted
CNN morning news while we get situated in the morning. I happened to be home
today instead of in the office so I got caught up in the moment.

The 'Beat It' song parody options just seem endless right now and don't think they ain't
out there writing them as we speak.

All I know is that, despite the verdict, there's no way in this world that I would ever let a kid of mine sleep at the Neverland Ranch.

I din't follow this closely either but I watched the Jury people on TV tonight, one wpman said what SK said, "how could you as a Mother let your kids stay wiht this man", yeah they all knew Jacko was one freaky person but they also seemed to think the kids Mother was a leach, none were impressed with her, bottom line they didn't think Jacko was guilty of any wrong doing with this kid, and that's what this case was about, not the others, oh well.
