Okay, one more time.

Closing is Tuesday for the sale, Wednesday for the purchase. Moving is Thursday.

Providing they don't screw us again.

edit: thread renamed.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hopefully the third time will be the charm!

I was going to wait until tomorrow when I had actual photographic proof, but YES, it all finally happened! The place is a mess, and everything's unplugged but the wireless router (because we can't reach it behind the pile of boxes), so here I am.

A bit dicey with the sale yesterday; the buyer's bank's rep forgot his checkbook, but our lawyer took care of it and we got a check overnighted to us today. Today was pretty solid; two hours, in and out, nice and easy. I wish we cleared a little more than we actually did, but I guess all the various parties have to take their cuts as well. We took the keys, picked up The Nut, went to the new house, did the new house dance, and then cleaned up. I'd never seen as much yuck in my life. I don't think they cleaned the place since they bought it five years ago. (Mind you, I still don't know what this place is going to look like when all our stuff is out.)

But that's that. Photo will be up tomorrow or Friday, once we take one. I have a photo, but it's snow-covered, because that's how long this whole process has been. So I'll post a nicer one once the move is complete.

Thanks for the thought.

So, you moved to Alaska...

Congratulations! That's great news, I knew it would all work out!

And how does "The Nut" like it?

He has no idea what's going on. He just thought we just took him to run around a strange place. We'll see how he reacts tomorrow when it's time for bed; hopefully he'll be so exhausted that he won't realize he has a new home.
