We are very disappointed with both the team name and especially the (spike head) logo. We'll still be rooting for Williamsport.

I like the news about Scranton and Allentown.

Scranton is too far for me to drive to see a AAA Phillies game. But Allentown isn't.

But if the Tides relocate to Scranton, I might make that drive once or twice a season.

Of course, under the current alignment I can drive up to Scranton to see the Tides as a visiting team, but I've never actually done that. I used to go to Reading once a year to see the Binghamton Mets play, but for the last ten years the B-Mets one annual trip to Reading would always come at a bad time for me.

I went to one Norfolk Tides home game in 1997. It was the first professional baseball game I had attended since the 1994 strike. The Tides won that day, and it was the first time I ever heard the name "Benny Agbayani."
