We've got some interest in reading and discussing a baseball book together.

Edgy nominated in this thread the book Wrecking Crew by John Albert.

Metirish nominated in this thread the book Kiss it Goodbye :The Frank Thomas Story by original Met and recent Crane Pool visitor Frank Thomas.

Vote above and a simple majority will prevail (please don't vote if you don't intend to participate). Voting closes Tuesday January 3d at 10 AM. I suggest we begin our discussion of the book the week of Jan. 30th.

I vote Kiss It Goodbye: The Frank Thomas Story followed by Wrecking Crew.

Are you voting "Let's read two" or are you just prioritizing?

The latter. One dog at a time.

I'm down with reading "Kiss It Goodbye". It would be great if we could have Frank Thomas join in on the discussions from time to time.

I'm not necessarily voting any particular way, but isn't the point of a book club to have debates and discussion? Is there much to debate in Thomas' book?

Discussion, yes, debate if it comes to it.

Some books folks have had in book groups are about the history of rocketry.

Bumping this up for one last push before the vote closes on Tuesday. Frank Thomas' autobiography will likely and deservedly be the book of choice, so you can also consider this a reminder to get a copy of the book over the weekend and start reading.

In a sweep (only I voted lets read two) the Crane Pool forum has spoken to read Frank Thomas's autobiography Kiss it Goodbye. Order your copy today or request it from your local library (if they don't have it demand they get it or donate your copy when you're done).

Discussions begin Jan. 30th.

You may want to order it online. I suspect that Borders won't be carrying it.

If its not in stock Ill try ordering it at Borders first.
