I'm going to start by resolving not to get into any political or religious debates on internet message boards...

no, really...

My tia gave me a talkin' to and said that I suck at communicating with family and need to knock that shit off and say hello once in a while. She's good people and she's right. I called my abuela right after that and am really going to try to keep touch with my peeps a little more and not be such a damn hermit.

Yes, it is appropriate that this is in the "probably won't keep" thread. But I'm going to try.

I need to do a lot of stuff, but more excercise is a biggie. I was supposed to
get up and start this morning but we over-slept. Maybe we need to follow up
and check on each other every couple of weeks ...

Posts like, "hey KC ... did you run today ya fat bastard?" or

"hey Seo, you're the only guy I know with a phone that has dust on it"

... might be of some help down the road.

I've got the exercise thing down, but not the food thing. So my resolution that I probably won't keep is to cut down on the calories.

I plan on initiating an exercise program. Will start with morning walks and work up to jogging.

That's how I started - I'd walk a little, jog a little, walk a little, etc.

Good luck!

I've decided that my goal is to weigh less than Ms. Wolf by the time MiniWolf is delivered in mid-February. She's got about twenty pounds on me right now, but I figure I can catch her easily.

Like Seo, I'm also going to vow to stay in touch with the family more. We never call anyone; it's not a slight on any one family member, but word is that we're too aloof. So we'll try to make amends.

Good luck wolf. It's surprising how easy it is to maintain that 20 lbs. differential even during the late stages of pregnancy.

I'm still trying to work off my pregnancy weight.

Why don't they make maternity clothes for guys? Someone should invent this...

this probably sounds like an odd thing for a guy to say who's about to run 39.3 miles in 2 days, but this new year, i need to run (and exercise in general) more...

I resolve not to take things so personally when my best efforts fall flat or backfire.

This about sums it up for me, too.
