So what's this about Miami Manatees?

quick turnaround, perhaps Buck is leaving for paternity after the game and Centeno is going to NY or going with the team to NY?

"What's a Seawolf? I'm a Seawolf."

Rooting for eight scoreless for Koehler, then a twelve-run ninth inning off the Marlins' bullpen.

We're now talking about how Ike is fouling off pitches he
would have missed in the beginning of the season in the
booth. It's sad ... swing and miss, two men left on.

Single, walk, HBP loads bases with 2 out for Ike.

Re: IGT, 8/1 --- Miami Matinee

Ike had one good week in the minors and was recalled to the Mets. He's pretty much what he was before being sent down, with a few more walks. Tejada and JV are hitting in the minors but you don't see them recalled. The Mets should have left Satin in the lineup (remember how hot he was?) and told Ike that he needed to perform well for a month.

Damn. Q rips one that finds a glove (almost a DP @3rd) and Matt lifts a fly out to left.

It's this guy and Joe Nathan, and that's pretty much it for the history of the school.

Eric Young is not long term OF answer... Juan Lagares is..

I was feeling really good about this team and then come Atlanta, Washington and then the fish..

I believe I will be rooting for players to make numbers from here on...

Why is Ike still on this team? Is his head the far up Collin's ass?

Not only that, but Koehler is from New Rochelle, too... he went to my daughter's HS. And he's a native NYer. And he was born in the magical year of 1986.
How can i not root for this guy?
Can't i get like a special dispensation under these circumstances?
I throw myself on the mercy of the court.

Yeah, i'm not sure i get that either. It's not like Young is old. He's 28, coming into the prime of his career, and we don't know his ceiling since he's never been given a full-time major league job, despite showing flashes in Colorado and here. Lagares is younger (24) with obvious physical tools, but his minor league production has not been extraordinary (too many Ks, not enough BBs or HRs or SBs), nor was his major league production impressive either, until about 2+ weeks ago. Sure, he has the upside of any 24-year old physically talented athlete, and i hope his current success continues, but i don't know at all that a guy who has had almost no experience above AA ball is going to have a superior career to an experienced 28-year old with some limited major-league success already to his credit.
