Baseball's hottest team expects to get Hanley Ramirez back Wednesday night when the Dodgers seek an eighth straight win and a three-game sweep of the New York Mets. Los Angeles (69-50) is on a staggering 39-8 run, going from the NL West cellar to a 7 1/2-game lead on second-place Arizona. The remarkable turnaround has showed few signs of waning with the Dodgers winning seven straight, their longest streak since a nine-game run May 9-18, 2010.

All Keith has to do is watch the game but he has trouble doing that. Man, that throw was unbelievable. I didn't think there was any chance to get Byrd where that ball came down.

Twice through the lineup (eighteen hitters) Capuano has still only retired eight men. Only the two GiDPs and the Puig throw have kept him out of even more trouble.

How many [u:1hljef3a]hitters[/u:1hljef3a] can you think of who DON'T get a triple on a hit like Gee's? Even without counting the total Clydesdales, there's Cano for sure. Soriano as well. Piazza.
