Re: Cardboard Tigers

I'll just go ahead and say what everybody is thinking regarding probably 80% of these guys:

He was a Tiger?

Re: Cardboard Tigers

Most of them I remember, actually, but there's always one or two that confuse me. This time it's Jefferies.

A real lackluster collection of players, overall.

I'm a big fan of Duffy Dyer's work on Magnum P.I.

Lino did some of his best work pitching in the Digital Vortex League.

Re: Cardboard Tigers

I'm almost disappointed that Lino Urdaneta got another shot. He left Detroit with an ERA of infinity, which was awesome. It dropped to 63.00 when he pitched his inning for us.

Jefferies had the first Tigers RBI at Comerica Park.

He probably caused the digital vortex by forcing the universe to attempt to divide by zero in order to account for him.

Re: Cardboard Tigers

Last year when batmags thoughtfully posted the Brewer-Mets, every one of them seemed like an ex-Brewer who happened to have been a Met. This crew, though logically I was aware that they had all motored to or from Detroit, just struck me as "really?". Perhaps a function of general unawareness of what the Tigers are up to most years.

Or maybe this is all denial centered around Rusty and Laxton for Lolich and Baldwin.

I'm just weirded out by how different he looks in his card portraits from his appearance on the field.
