Juan Lagares started his career as an infielder, sez the booth. Had no idea.

I didn't know that Callison hit his walkoff wearing a Met helmet in the 64 all star game. And that's major Met lore to me.

I knew that he started as a shortstop...and also EYjr was primarily a 2nd baseman in the minors...

after watching both of them (and seeing what we have as middle infielders)...I have to wonder, would either of these 2 be a degrade at SS/2B than we currently have?

I imagine Lagares got moved for a reason. Those gruesome fielding percentages (.942, .911, .938 his first three seasons) I'm looking at right now might have something to do with that. Sorta stuff that would embarrass Valdespin.

(I'm kidding. Nothing embarrasses Valdespin.)
