I just mentally designated Francisco for assignment. Francisco, Felciano, and Byrdak, that's three guys who've spent half the year recovering, rehabbing, and minor-leaguing, none signed for next year, all getting real innings and stuff.

Maybe, but (1) the official position is that Terry needs to showcase himself, and (2) as if Francisco is going to be re-signed? Terry, whatever his graces, is bringing his horse down the home stretch in a most Art Hovian manner.

I'd find it real hard to believe that anyone in the front office is even nudging (much less pushing or ordering) Terry to pitch Frank-Frank as often as possible.

Only the second-most pathetic four-game series at Citi Field of which I attended three-quarters (all but the Wheeler start). The August sweep by the Rockies last year was slightly worse. Nats can slug, Mets can't hit, the paid attendance figures were fraudulent and there ya go. Perhaps 400 people remained by finale's end. FF pretty clearly intentionally plunked Werth. It earned him half a Schaefer point from me.
