I wonder when the last time Vin Scelsa had a Ramones attack in his studio? I haven't listened to Vinnie in a while and he was getting more than a bit crotchety over the years even before I drifted away. But the best thing about his shows was the spontaneity to them; no pre-planned sets for Vin - or even if he did pre-plan he'd change his mind halfway through and start free-lancing the whole thing. And so every once in a while he'd suddenly declare that the studio was under attack and for the next 45 minutes or so he'd act like he was powerless to halt the resulting non-stop Ramones music. Eventually the set would go quiet, then a few seconds later he'd come out from under his desk and, after checking for casualties, declare that the coast was clear then resume with the rest of the show.
